I'd say the only ones to avoid would be spear, one hand mace, and the new greataxe. Everything else has strong use cases. Best all-round would probably be axe+shield and greatsword. #8.

Karthull. Is it just me or are the grey ones weapons basically the best the damage seems high plus multiple effects. For personal use try voidforged gladius, I think I learned the recipe inside the tower in the middle of the map, with t4 blacksmith with sword symbol plus an upgrade from tinkers bench it got to 95 damage and 30% armor penetration.
